Click here for the June Newsletter which saw the final Hampshire Road Race League fixture of what was a long season starting back in September with our own Overton 5.

The men’s team had a good strong season led by excellent performances by men’s captain Sean Holmes, though injuries meant that we slipped from a potential winning position to second in Division One. This is still a great achievement when you consider the size of the Harriers when compared to those around us.
The ladies team had an up and down season with a mid-season lull, with good performances in the last few races leading to a mid-table position in Division Two. Our B Teams both suffered this year with the men’s team dropping into Division Two.
On an individual basis Sean was the stand out performer finishing 6th in the men’s individual league and being one of only ten athletes who completed all 12 events. Other men in the top 60 were Lee (16th) Neil Martin (21st) Richard Clifford (32nd) Neil Glendon (41st). In the ladies individual standings Katie Brothers was 38th, Sarah McCann 40th and Rebecca Costambeys 54th.
In other news the Track and Field season is in full swing with the Veterans League providing highly enjoyable evenings; every Harrier who attends guaranteed to compete and the Juniors are putting in excellent performances in the Wessex League.
